What’s Happened to Our Country?

I know that not everyone will agree with me on this, but it’s too important to not say anything.

As Alexander Hamilton once said “those who stand for nothing fall for anything”.

I was contemplating where we are as a country and how we’ve gotten here.

It is Memorial Day, after all. A time when we reflect and thank those who gave everything so we can enjoy the freedom we have.

But have you noticed how there is a complete lack of respect for authority and our country and how it’s spreading like a disease?

There are injustices that need to be fixed. I get that. We’ve been dealing with this through all of human history. But we won’t fix it through hate.

I, for one, will continue to stand for our national anthem and honor our flag.

Why? Because it represents our freedom to respectfully disagree.

It represents our freedom to speak our mind, even if someone else doesn’t like what I have to say.

It represents our hope to work together to continually make America a better place for everyone to live together.
And most importantly, to me, those red stripes represent the blood shed by selfless sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, fathers, and mothers to defend those freedoms.

Take care and enjoy your Memorial Day!

Committed to your success,
