I’m Thankful I’m Not This Guy Anymore

I saw a post the other day from a guy who was complaining that he just got home at 1am after a grueling 15 hour shift at work, was hoping to sleep in since his kids didn’t have school in the morning, but ended up only getting 5 hours of shut eye because his kids couldn’t sleep past 6am.

I remember days like those.

Years ago, before I discovered probate real estate investing, I was working 16 hour days.

I was working 8 hour days as a store merchandiser at Pepsi Cola, and then I’d change clothes and clock in for another 8 hours at price club where I would unload the shipping trucks with my forklift and then I would stock the 80 pound boxes of frozen chicken.

Then I’d come home dead tired and try to be a good husband and father.

I really do feel for that guy working long days getting no sleep. Trying to be a good father and husband while walking around like a zombie because of exhaustion and sleep depravation.

I’ve always lived in a place of gratitude. Even back when I was dead tired every day, I thanked the Lord for being able to provide for my family and for the experiences that were driving me to find a better way.

Every experience, both good and bad, is a gift.

People look at where I am now and don’t realize that I have been pushed to a level of exhaustion that words cannot describe.

I’m sure you’ve been there too. Maybe you’re living through that “gift” right now.

Know that you are made for greater things.

I can tell you that had I not been pushed to the brink, I never would have fought for a better life.

It’s funny. Sure I’m thankful for having the time and wealth do do whatever I want whenever I want because of probate real estate. But I’m even more thankful for those hard time that pushed me where I am today.

Be thankful for where you are now and look for ways to break through the barriers that will lead to a joyous destination.

Have a heart of gratitude in all things. Success blossoms from the mind.

Thoughts lead to feelings, feelings lead to actions, and actions lead to results.

Committed to your success,
Ernie “lots to be thankful for” Vargas | The Probate Fox
