I Made My Kids Cringe Yesterday…A Lot

Yesterday was it a great day for the Vargas family. After church, we just hung out together all day to celebrate Father’s Day.

For a lot of families, Father’s Day is just a day that dad gets to spend more time on the golf course or in his “man cave”.

For me, it has an entirely different meaning. I grew up without a dad.

In fact, when my dad found out my mom was pregnant with me, he kicked her out of the house.

My mom was literally homeless throughout her pregnancy with me.

Thankfully a group of nuns at a local convent took my mom in so she could safely deliver me. Life was tough growing up with so little.

That’s why it’s so important for me to spend Father’s Day with my family. And I spent the day making my kids cringe with all of my dad jokes.

Here’s a sample:
Why do crabs never give to charity? Because they’re shellfish.
How does Moses make coffee? Hebrews it.
Why can’t you hear a pterodactyl going to the bathroom? Because the “P” is silent.
My kid said to me “Dad, what’s E.T. short for?” to which I replied… “it’s because he’s got little legs.”

I’ll stop because they only get worse from here.

Committed to your success,
Ernie “Proud Father of Four” Vargas | The Probate Fox
