If You’re Truly Thankful, It’s Time To Make A Difference

If you’re truly thankful, it’s time to make a difference.

I love Thanksgiving. I love eating the turkey and stuffing and cranberry sauce. I love the pumpkin pie and cheesecake. I love sitting down with my family as we all cram in around our dining table. I love listening to each of them share the things that they are grateful for.

And I love taking the time to reflect on the things that I am grateful for.

With all of the challenges that we see in the world today, and even in our own lives, it can be hard to feel grateful.

Working in probate, I have conversations on a daily basis with families who have lost a loved one. These daily conversations serve as a constant reminder of the reality of mortality and how lucky we are to still be here.

It’s easy to take it for granted, but being alive is such a gift and it should not be wasted. We have the ability to make an impact in the lives of our families, friends, and the people that we serve. We live in a country that offers freedom. There is so much to be grateful for.

Every year I take some time on Thanksgiving to reflect and think about the things that I am grateful for and here is the list for this year:

I am grateful for my relationship with my Lord and Savior
I am grateful for my health and the health of my family
I am grateful for my relationships with my family and friends
And I am grateful for the Probate Fox family that I have found in all of you and our growing relationships

As we careen towards the close of 2023, take some time to appreciate where you are today. Focus on the here and now. Focus on what we can do instead of what we can’t. And do me a favor – eat LOTS of turkey.

Happy Thanksgiving!

To your success,
Ernie “It’s Gobble Time” Vargas | The Probate Fox
