Just Do the Opposite

As cool and interesting as A.I. is, I am so sick of hearing about Open AI’s Chat GPT and Google’s Bard.

Have I used it? I’ve tried. What I’ve found is that it takes so much effort prompting the software to get the result I want. It takes less time and effort to just write it myself.

Now this would have been a game changer for me if it was around way back when I was in high school. But not in a good way. Sure it would have helped me to get my work in on time. Research papers would have been simple. Speeches would have been written in a matter of minutes. But what would I have learned?

I was not a model student – I barely graduated high school the way it was. A.I. may have made my life way easier back in high school, but I would have been worse off for it.

So where are we at right here and right now in real estate? Where does Chat GPT fit into that?

It is a powerful tool. It can be useful to brainstorm or write functions for Excel. But if you allow it to do all of the creative and critical thinking for you, you’re going to end up being a commodity like everyone else.

My mentor, Dan Kennedy, says “If you want to be successful, do the opposite of what everyone else is doing.”

His words have never been more applicable than right now. While everyone is busy having a computer do all of the thinking for them, set yourself apart by using the incredibly powerful computer God gave you that’s sitting there right between your ears.

And this is doubly true when it comes to probate. A computer can try to mimic empathy and compassion. But there’s something special about the human experience that even the best computer program can’t copy.

The easy button sure is sexy and attractive. Its siren song is hard to resist. But the journey to liberating freedom and success was never meant to be easy. If it was, everyone would take it.

People looking for the easy way out are lazy and almost always end up right back where they started. Gird your loins and prepare for the journey. The destination is well worth the effort.

To your success,
