Oops, I Forgot They Don’t Celebrate Thanksgiving

I was talking with some friends of mine this morning who are very successful entrepreneurs in Europe. Our group connects often to talk about what everyone is doing in their business.

But we also talk about family. We all share the same belief that our faith and family come first. We help each other stay focused on the fact that we work to live, not the other way around.

So as we were chatting about family stuff we all had coming up, I asked everyone what they did for Thanksgiving.

The response I got was, “Um, Ernie, that’s an American holiday.”

We all got a good laugh from my faux pas, but it got me thinking. We live our lives in our own little bubbles. What we are experiencing in our lives becomes our sole focus.

And this is exactly why so many real estate investors, brokers, and agents fail miserably at probate real estate.

They saunter into this niche like it is just like all the other ordinary real estate they’ve worked with before. But the people going through probate are going through a whole mess of problems that most people have no clue about. If you want to buy or list their property, you need to see the world from their point of view. Step inside their bubble for a moment.

Do this and you are one HUGE step closer to becoming a probate specialist.

To your success,
