On Wednesday I mentioned the book, Die With Zero. I’ve always said that real estate, especially probate real estate, is the best business to be in. If you learn the ropes and do it right, it can give you all of the personal and financial freedom you’ve ever dreamed of. But like I said on Wednesday, in the end, all of your accumulated wealth will mean nothing to you after you’re gone. And it really won’t mean very much to your family either. And it certainly won’t mean anything at all to your fellow man in the greater sense. My friend Sally whose husband recently passed away has no children, no close family, no heirs. She reached out to me to protect her estate from going to the government. Incredibly, if you don’t plan properly, everything you’ve worked so hard to earn will get swooped up by the government. But life isn’t really just about amassing wealth. When God blesses us, we need to give back. First to our families, and then to our community. The greatest legacy you can leave isn’t in the school or hospital named after you. It’s in the lives you’ve touched. The people you’ve helped. The souls you’ve saved. One of my passions outside of my family and real estate is prison ministry. I’ve been inside some of the most hard-core prisons across the country. Death row? Yup, I’ve been there. It’s my mission to help those lost souls become Godly men, loving husbands, good fathers, and solid citizens. I’m working on creating the Vargas Foundation to further that goal. It’s in its infancy, but I have faith it will transform lives. To your success, Ernie “Saving Souls” Vargas | The Probate Fox |
