Back in July when I toured Italy with my family, we made it a point to stop in Venice. Its beauty is unparalleled. Its history is evident in its architecture. And the ancient Italians built all of this on top of the water! Venice is actually a protected world heritage site and a number of years ago they banned personal watercraft like kayaks and paddle boards from its congested waterways. That didn’t stop a couple of stupid Australians from making a mockery of Venice. A week or so ago, the pair decided to surf the canals on motorized surfboards. The mayor of Venice was not impressed. He set out to find the offenders, offering the person who brings them to justice a dinner at one of Venice’s finest restaurants. The mayor exclaimed, “this is not Disneyland, this is Venice!” Apparently, the bounty was sufficient and the pair were tracked down, fined 1500 euros each, and had their board confiscated. The Venetians take the integrity of their waterways seriously. Integrity is in short supply these days and the probate real estate market is no exception. Families stuck in probate’s tangled web often feel helpless and will take any advice or help they can find. Their legal bills, property taxes, past debts of the heir, and headaches continue to pile up and there seems to be no end in sight. That’s usually when an unscrupulous real estate investor, broker, or agent swoops in for the kill. They try to steal the family’s inheritance for pennies on the dollar. I just don’t get this. I’ve helped tons of families over the years get the most out of their inherited property and made a fortune myself doing it. The real estate industry now more than ever needs honest, ethical real estate professionals to help these families. And with over 30 trillion in assets transferring from the baby boomers to their heirs over the next 20 years, there is more of a need for people like you than ever before. Your reward won’t just be a dinner at one of Venice’s fine restaurants. It will be so much more than that. I have students who have built 7 figure real estate businesses on probate. Now it’s your turn. To your success, Ernie “Profit With Compassion” Vargas | The Probate Fox |
