This weekend was my birthday and I decided to surprise my family instead of them surprising me.
In our family, we often do city wide scavenger hunts which is a twist on The Amazing race.
Here was my Amazing Birthday Race:
I prepared a list of cards with questions on each card. Once my wife or kids answered the question they were given the card with the Choose Your Own Adventure activity.
We began by traveling on the Los Angeles Metro system going to places I went to as a kid. They were required to have lots of fun and take lots of pictures. We ended our day with a big celebration at an L.A. classic restaurant with live mariachi.
What I want to share with you is that during this time, I shut the rest of the world off. My phone was off and it was all about enjoying the time I had.
My question to you is:
What are you doing this business for?
We all want a better life but make sure that you aren’t so deep into the pursuit of a better life that you miss out on your life right now.
Make sure you take time to enjoy what makes you happy.
