Archeologists discovered a 16th-century grave that had a woman buried with a sickle around her neck and a padlock on her toe. Apparently, the citizens of the town where she lived were afraid of this lady coming back to life. I guess people were paranoid even back then! Zombies and vampires have been all the rage lately in pop culture. But should we really fear these mythical creatures? For ordinary people, I’d say no. But there are vampire stalking savvy real estate professionals and most people don’t even notice that they are close by ready to pounce. To be honest, most of us have been bitten at least a couple of times. And a few unfortunate souls have been sucked dry. No, I haven’t fallen off the deep end. I know that blood-sucking vampires don’t exist. But have you ever heard of time vampires? My mentor Dan Kennedy used to talk about time vampires and how devastating they can be to your business and personal life. Time vampires are all those useless distractions that suck up loads of your valuable time, keeping you away from the things you should be focusing on. They’ve been around for pretty much ever. But now in the 21st century, they have multiplied exponentially. Social media, cell phones, text messages, TikTok and YouTube videos, the media sowing distrust and fear, the latest marketing fads, and people who interrupt your day with useless questions and conversations – these are just a few of the time vampires lurking around you every day. Garlic and a crucifix aren’t gonna save you. Neither will a sickle at their neck or a padlock on their toe. You need to build a fortress around your time. If you’re working on building a seven-figure probate business, you must make sure you have enough time to focus on the highest and best use of your time. Having conversations with sellers should be at the very top of your list. Anything distracting or preventing you from doing the work that actually makes you money should either be outsourced or avoided altogether. Take finding probate leads for example. You could drive to the courthouse, research all the leads, have them skiptraced, get them all organized and formatted, or you could outsource all of that busy work. Yes, we do offer probate leads subscriptions here at the Probate Fox, but I’m not telling you all of this just to plug my services. I encourage you to shop around but be warned that there are time vampires hiding in a lot of the other guy’s lead sources. Leads with no verified property, wrong contact info, and old leads with properties that have already gone to market are just a few of the vampires waiting to feast on your precious time. At the very least, get a quote from us and have a conversation with us to show you how our leads are different from everyone else’s out there. Another couple of time vampires you should steer clear of are the mistake vampire and the paralysis vampire. When you join my private coaching group, I make sure you get to your goals as quickly as possible by helping you avoid time-sucking mistakes and keep you moving forward by gently pushing you ahead and keeping you accountable. If you’re ready to slay those vampires, I’m here with a wooden stake in hand! Let me know when you’re ready. To your success, Ernie “The Vampire Slayer” Vargas | The Probate Fox |
