A couple of weeks ago I told you about how experiences are so much more powerful than gifts. The Vargas family celebrated my youngest daughter Rebecca’s 14th birthday this weekend. Instead of wrapping something in a box, we created a city-wide scavenger hunt for her where every location had an event or challenge to complete. Los Angeles is such an amazing city – we all had so much fun together. When I ask prospective Probate Fox students why they want to get into real estate, just about every single person includes the word freedom as their main reason. That doesn’t mean that real estate is easy. We work long and hard as self-employed entrepreneurs. W2 employees just don’t understand the sacrifices and sleepless nights ordinary investors, brokers, and agents endure because a paycheck is never guaranteed. You are the rainmaker. But if you choose the right niche (probate), get good at time blocking to maximize your efforts, and avoid shiny objects that try to distract you from achieving your goals, you can live a truly extraordinary life. People who punch a clock can’t take off when they want to give their daughter a birthday she’ll never forget. And they don’t have the discipline to shut off all distractions and turn off their phone giving their full attention to the family they so deeply love. Be extraordinary. To your success, Ernie “Scavenger Hunt” Vargas | The Probate Fox |
