Fred Is Dead.

I’ll be honest, I almost forgot yesterday was Groundhog Day. Waiting in anticipation to find out what a groundhog has to say about how much more winter we’re gonna get isn’t a top priority.

And to be honest, winter isn’t too bad here in southern California.

But when I saw a headline about what happened to the groundhog in Canada, I just had to read it.

Sadly, Fred la Marmotte, the Quebecois cousin to Punxsutawney Phil, died shortly before he was scheduled to reveal whether the Canadian province would experience six more weeks of winter. So I’m guessing winter will be going on indefinitely for our neighbors to the north!

It amuses me how worked-up people get with superstitions like this. Some people take this stuff pretty seriously.

And the same is true in real estate. The market shifts, the news reports tell you the sky is falling, and everyone runs screaming scared.

Now I’m not saying you shouldn’t pay attention to what’s going on around you. Is the market shifting? Yup, you betcha. But that doesn’t mean the world is going to end. And it sure doesn’t mean you’re going to end up broke.

Every challenge in life offers new opportunities. And the bigger the challenge, the bigger the opportunity. A lot of people end up buckling in the face of adversity. Again, the bigger the adversity, the more people give up.

And that’s where you fill in the void. The secret to succeeding is threefold. First, you need to figure out which niche is right for you. Second, you need to find a mentor to expedite the process. And third, you need to implement a system that works.

What are you doing to take advantage of the opportunity that’s opening up in today’s market?

To your success,
Ernie “I Didn’t Kill Fred” Vargas | The Probate Fox
