I Spent Some Time in Prison This Weekend

A rapper by the name of DMX just passed away this weekend.

DMX, unfortunately, lived with a big drug addiction problem and spent years in and out of prison.

This news touched me because I have dedicated the last 10 years of my life to helping people within the prison system. I volunteer my time with inmates, teaching them an alternative to drugs and crime so that when they are released, they can live a faith-filled life contributing to society in a positive way.

One of the most troubling addictions that people face in America today is drug addiction.

This past weekend, I sat with an inmate who was introduced to meth by his father, a hells angel who injected his child with this deadly addictive substance at the age of 11 years old.

This guy is now an adult and he wants nothing more than to break free from his addiction, turn his life around to experience true freedom. We all have a different reason why we love working in real estate.

If you peel back that question you’ll discover that the ultimate reason is freedom.

Sure real estate can and does provide financial wealth but that wealth is only the vehicle to provide you freedom.

What is that freedom to you?

For me, besides raising my children and spending time with my family, it is is having the ability to use my time helping people better their lives – like the people I counsel in my prison ministry.

I think that’s also why I’m so passionate about teaching others about probate. I love to help people discover and live their freedom.

What is the freedom you’re working for?

Email me and let me know. I’m always sharing what’s going on in my life. I’d love to hear what you’re passionate about.
Committed to your success,
Ernie “Prison Break” Vargas | The Probate Fox
