My Momma

We all have weekly rituals. I’m sure there are things you do each and every week without fail. It’s those weekly anchors that you look forward to that keep you moving forward each week.

For me, one of those weekly rituals is spending an afternoon with my mother. I usually take her grocery shopping. Spending time with her is great, but that’s not the only benefit. Spending that afternoon with her really allows me to simply slow down for a few hours.

We go to the same grocery store each week and there’s a woman there who we see each week.

She used to hang around outside of the store – I believe she was homeless. But somehow she managed to get a job at the market. Her sole responsibility is bringing in the shopping carts from the parking lot.

You might think that’s just another mundane job. But not only is she really good at it, but you can see how happy she is doing it.

She is always there no matter what day of the week or time we go. I can honestly say that she is probably the single best shopping cart retriever that I’ve ever seen.

She makes me think about how important it is for us all to have a purpose.

I remember just a few years ago when she was without a home. She would walk around town aimlessly. You could feel her sadness and lack of purpose.

Finding purpose has transformed her. She’s not just putting shopping carts away. She has a purpose and is overjoyed to fulfill that purpose.

Fulfilling our purpose is part of what makes us feel complete as human beings. Being productive, waking up, and making a difference in the world is an important part of who we are.

This is why I love working probate real estate. Not only do my students and I get to provide handsomely for our families and have tons of free time to spend with our family, but we also get to help families who desperately need a trusted real estate professional to help them get through that difficult time in their lives.

Are you fulfilling your purpose in life? Probate might be the perfect next step for you.

To your success,
Ernie “Living With Purpose” Vargas | The Probate Fox
