My Day with Dan

At the beginning of my entrepreneurial career, I had the good luck and honor of being mentored by Dan Kennedy. And I’m not the only one.

Just about all of the major players in direct response marketing owe their success to Dan. In fact, without Dan, you would have no Frank Kern, Alex Hormozi, or Russel Brunson.

Dan is no spring chicken. A few years back he was literally on his death bed and nobody thought he’d pull through. But that tough old dog fought his way back to health.

So when I was given the opportunity to attend a private event on what would most likely be the last of Dan’s small intimate gatherings, I jumped at the chance. On Monday I hopped on a plane and headed to Dan’s hometown of Cleveland.

In addition to soaking up Dan’s timeless words of wisdom, I was able to catch up with a bunch of old friends who have also been long-time followers of Dan. Over the decades we’ve walked alongside each other down the lonely path of entrepreneurship and it was delightful to spend time with them and share stories.

And what was really cool was meeting some young individuals who have discovered the gold mine called Dan Kennedy and are building amazing businesses by becoming marketing experts in their own fields of business.

Some of these young entrepreneurs were as young as 21 years old. These people’s businesses ranged from software, to dentists, to lawyers – just about every type of business you can imagine. And they were serious about their business. They were spending their valuable time (and a good chunk of money) to study from the master.

These people will go far in life. It reminds me of when I got started in real estate. I was probably the youngest (and poorest) person in the room and I was willing to do whatever it took to get to that success. It was an honor to share my story with them of how Dan has impacted my life.

It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out in real estate investing or if you’ve been around the block a few times. You don’t know what you don’t know.

Trial and error is one way to learn, but if you want to supercharge your success and get to the finish line faster than you ever thought possible, you need to find a mentor in your niche who will help you avoid the expensive delays most ordinary investors fall prey to.

There are so many golden nuggets and hacks I’ve discovered over my 20+ years as a probate real estate investor. The experience I pass on to my students is the reason they are able to close their first probate deal within just a short time of working with me. And then do it over and over again dominating their market.

There’s a reason I’m called the Probate Fox.

To your success,
Ernie “Back From Cleveland” Vargas | The Probate Fox
