Last night I had the pleasure of sharing probate with a great group of real estate investors in Portland, Oregon. Usually when I speak in Portland, it’s over the course of a few days. And whenever I travel to different parts of the country, I always connect with my past ProbateFox students – usually over dinner. Not this time. As you’ve probably guessed, this talk was delivered over Zoom. To be honest, I miss my usual crowd. But I still had a fabulous group of Oregonian folks who are new to the real estate business. Turns out quite a few of them are college age new investors. One 19 year old young man in particular reached out to me a few days prior and is super excited to get his business off the ground! Do you remember when you were just starting out? I know I do. Man that’s so exciting! The beautiful thing about this business is that anyone and everyone can succeed. It doesn’t matter how old you are or where you came from. Well got to go, as I’m on my way to pick up keys to another one of my probate homes that I just closed on. And I’m brining a very special probate student along – I’m teaching my 14 year old son how he to can get set up with his own inherited property sellers. |
