Off We Go!

My emails over the next two weeks will probably be a bit short.

This hike at the Philmont Boy Scout Ranchi s is going to be something else. And between the long, grueling days of hiking and the near-complete lack of internet, it’s going to be a little bit hard to get these out.

In fact, I got up this morning before everyone else to gain a little elevation so I could get enough bars on my phone to send this message.

You’re probably wondering how I’m going to keep my phone charged during this epic trek. I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I have a solar charger for my phone. I’m trying to disconnect as much as possible during this time with Ernie Jr., but I’ve gotta stay a little connected to the real world lol.

I found a spot this morning with good enough reception to send you a couple of pics I took at the trailhead of this adventure.

No lesson in this email. Just wanted to share this amazing trip with you.
