It sure has been hard to get stuff lately.
What kind of stuff you ask? Well, pretty much everything.
Every week something different is missing from the shelves at just about every store we go to. One week it’s spaghetti sauce. The next week it’s toilet paper (reminds me of 2020 – yikes!).
And I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how difficult this is making it to flip houses. The shortages there are both supplies and labor.
But for my kids, things “got real” a couple of days ago. Kathy went to the grocery store with the kids only to discover the freezers that were supposed to supply our house with delicious chicken tenders was completely empty. And it wasn’t just our favorite lightly breaded Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips.
Every single brand and type of chicken tender was completely gone.
Kathy went back a couple of days later and… Zero. Zilch. Nadda.
I don’t know about you, but I do love my chicken tenders. But what can you do when all hope seems to be lost?
You get resourceful. Instead of calling all of the major groceries, I looked up a small mom & pop shop and found some locally sourced poultry that ended up being even better than the stuff we were getting.
I know it was only chicken tenders, but it’s really about mindset.
Some people hit a dead end and just give up, turn tail, and head back home, accepting defeat.
Then there is the successful minority who hit that dead end and immediately start looking for ways to either climb over that wall or knock it down.
True success comes by being part of the latter group.
And I love to help real estate investors develop the mindset and tools to get there.
Committed to your success,
