100 Miles Hiked? I’m Finished

We did it! Ernie Jr. and I finally made it back to base camp!

I’m not sure what the exact mileage was, but I’m pretty sure we put in over 100 miles with full packs on our back over the past week and a half.

I’ve gotta tell you though, it was NOT easy. At one point we had FIVE days of almost constant rain. No hotel rooms. No dry clothes. Just sleeping soaked to the bone under the stars.

And then there were the hills.

Trudging up those long, relentless hills was brutal. I’d look ahead and it looked like the hills went on forever. I had to constantly remind my body that there indeed was an end to every hill.

It’s funny how we can allow ourselves to be defeated by our own irrational thoughts and fears.

I knew that there for every hill was a summit, and that summit would bring not only easier hiking but also incredible views and memories with my son I would cherish forever. I found myself having to convince myself of the logical reality that my tired body and mind refused to believe.

Here’s a picture of Ernie Jr. at the summit of one of those hills…

But this isn’t the first time I’ve been faced with this kind of challenge.

As entrepreneurs, massive challenges are constantly being hurled at us. As we stand at the bottom of the seemingly endless, impossible hill, the urge to give up can be overwhelming.

I’ve found my greatest breakthroughs and successes when convincing myself that there is a summit to the challenge I am facing and that the reward will be so very much worth the effort.

Having my son and the rest of our scout troop at my side was truly a blessing. The encouragement and advice we offered each other were invaluable.

I want you to know that I’m here with you on your journey. I’m right here by your side. I want to be your encouragement and advisor.

I’ve been a real estate investor for a very long time. Heck, I was figuring out probate before anyone in the real estate investment space had even heard of it!

I’ve made it to the summit so many times and I want to help you get there too. Trust me, it is so very much worth the effort.

Ernie Jr. and I will be catching the train at base camp tomorrow and I’ll be back home early Wednesday morning, ready to help you up those hills.

I’ll have some downtime traveling over the next couple of days.

Committed to your success,
Ernie “Hiking The Hills” Vargas | The Probate Fox
