There’s a trend in real estate to automate and outsource all of the marketing.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been preaching for years to make sure you use your time efficiently. You need to focus your time on the things that you are specially equipped to do.
The problem is all this automation and outsourcing has made people lazy to the point of willfully letting the business fall apart.
I was coaching one of my probate leads subscribers the other day. He’s been getting leads from me for over a year now. Through the course of our conversation, I come to find out he hasn’t called or mailed a single lead that has been given to him.
Wanna know his excuse? He outsourced his outbound calls to a virtual assistant out of the Philippines. Over the course of the past year he’s gone through three different VA’s, none of whom have contacted a single lead.
He doesn’t need to make all the calls, but marketing isn’t a Ron Popeil “set it and forget it” type of activity.
Marketing is the lifeblood of your business. You need to be constantly monitoring and measuring every aspect of it or your business will die. It may happen quickly in the dead of night or it may be a slow death, but without you there steering the ship it will undoubtedly die.
And this isn’t an isolated incident. I see this time and time again with prospective students. It reminds me of the M. Night Shyamalan movie “The Sixth Sense” where the kid says, “I see dead people.”
I see dead real estate investors and agents walking around all the time.
We are moving into a new age. If you’re not all in, you’re not going to survive. Think about it. Why would a seller want to sell to you instead of going through some Zillow or the newest venture capital-funded Company out of Silicon Valley?
I’ve seen many of these so-called probate attorneys go out of business because they are still cruising and not managing their clients.
Now is the time to go “all in” with probate real estate. Why? The space may be getting crowded, but the majority of the crowd are just dead people walking around who don’t have a clue what they’re doing.
Committed to your success,
Ernie “I See Dead People” Vargas | The Probate Fox
