| The real estate market has been doing some funky things lately. Contrary to what everyone thought, rising interest rates haven’t really abated demand. But the changes in the market have opened some opportunities. Here in Los Angeles County there are still a few properties listed for under 250k. And one of them happens to be a one bedroom, one bathroom home located under a bridge near downtown L.A. and it’s been dubbed “the troll apartment”. The house is literally attached to the bottom side of a bridge. It has plumbing, electrical, and a mold problem, but the agent says that even though the house is listed for 250k, offers are coming in over 300k! I’m not sure where they’re getting comps for this one… What’s interesting about this property is the fact that there’s not just a market for it, but there’s strong demand for a property that is in such an inconvenient location and needs a ton of work. Now I’m not saying you should go looking for the strangest property available and that will make you rich. What I am saying is that opportunity is everywhere. And in real estate, opportunity absolutely abounds in the probate niche. But just because opportunity knocks doesn’t mean you’ll prosper. You need to take action and open that door.
