This Flip Got Lost in Translation
Just wanted to share a quick funny story with you about something that happened to me this week.
One of my Probate Fox students is doing a rehab on a property they picked up and wanted my opinion on the kitchen layout.
I’m always looking for an excuse to get out of the office so I hopped in my car and headed on over to the jobsite.
It turns out that the plumbing was in the way of where the cabinets were to be installed.
The plumber mostly only spoke Spanish and the cabinet installation man was Chinese and only spoke Mandarin.
So here we were troubleshooting in three languages and getting nowhere fast.
Because time is always of the essence, I had to think fast and the easiest solution that I could come up with was to put somebody that understood the language in the middle of the conversation.
I called up a friend who is fluent in Mandarin and she was able to quickly jump on a phone call with our Chinese installer and tell us exactly what the problem was.
I happen to be fluent in Spanish so I was able to translate with the plumber, and just like that we got to the root of the problem and quickly implemented a solution. We were back in business in less than five minutes!
And this is exactly what it is like in real estate.
You’re probate and inherited real estate sellers should have you at their fingertips to be able to call when things are in a state of confusion and they are experiencing some kind of difficulty.
It’s this type of problem-solving that makes you more than just someone who wants to buy their inherited property. You become a trusted resource to your sellers and ultimately it helps you to obtain the contract to another deal.
However, it is just as important for you to be equipped with the knowledge and resources to help yourselves and that is exactly where Probate Fox comes in.
There are a lot of people trying to get a start in probate real estate. The problem is there are thousands of ways to do it wrong and only a couple of ways to get it right.
Committed to your success,
