Today during my business meeting, I was speaking with someone about the current probate real estate market. He was sharing with me how in his market in Orlando, Florida houses are starting to sit a bit longer. Well, as a matter of fact, that is something I am experiencing in some of my markets too.
So what do we do?
We continue to buy intelligently and not buy tight deals in hopes that we will make your money back from future appreciation. We don’t role the dice.
All this talk reminds me of a time about 10 years ago when the market took a dive and how at the time, most investors left the market place. Those that remained were fighting over bank owned REO’s and potential short sales. All the while everyone was asking me how I was managing to pick so many deals, which by the way happened to free and clear properties.
I’ll tell you if and when the market shifts, make sure that you have mastered your role as a probate service provider. Because just like then, it will continue to be a qualified, motivated lead sourcethat currently is and will be in need of your expertise.
By the way, the pros and cons of this new digital age is that just about everybody knows about probate. Sadly, many misinformed investors are led to misfortune because of the charlatans of the internet who go around jumping on the bandwagon pitching probate classes to which they have minimal real life experience on.
Don’t let that be how you learn this niche.
