I Was Literally Robbed Yesterday

It’s not always a walk in the park in real estate and I was hit over the head with that reality yesterday.
Thursday morning I was awoken with an emergency call from my contractor notifying me that one of our projects have been broken into overnight.

The house was burglarized!

Light fixtures, cabinets, faucets, and even the new hardwood floor we were in the process of installing was stolen.

On top of all of that, they stole the contractors compressors, tools, and everything thing else these thieves could get their hands on.
This property is located in a pretty nice neighborhood, but somehow they found their way into this property.

My team was pretty bummed and everyone working on the project was pretty discouraged today.

So what are we do in cases like this?

I believe life is too short to let incidents like this impact us in a negative way.
As a real estate entrepreneur, your team looks to you as their leader. How you react will be affect everyone in your organization.
I’m not saying that we are not human and that we don’t have feelings. We shouldn’t fake how we feel.

We need to realize that it’s not the end of the world and we must continue looking forward to a solution to whatever problem is in front of us.

That’s exactly how I want my team to react to any circumstance they face. I want them to face the problems are in front of them and quickly work to implement solutions that will take us to the next step.

So today I will file a police report, replace everything that was stolen, and keep the team moving forward. It’s back to business because we have deadlines to meet.
I will take care of the team helping them with their personal losses as well. Then we’ll celebrate by taking everybody out to lunch.

Celebrate? Yeah why not!

Celebrate that we are alive, healthy and we have an opportunity to keep doing something good in our life.

Happiness is a choice, albeit a difficult one at times (like yesterday). Choose to be happy and bring solutions to problems presented to you and you will always find true success.
Committed to your success,
