Can you believe we are now in the last month of the first quarter and as of today the first week is behind us. Did you set any goals for this year? Are on target to hit those goals? If you are, give yourself a big pat on the back – that is so awesome to hear, congratulations! But if you’re not on target or if you haven’t even set your goals yet, let’s see what we can do to change what the rest of this year will look like for you. Setting goals is an important first step because it will provide a sense of direction and will allow you to plan according to achieve that goal. Here are the seven categories of goals for you to consider: Business Money Spiritual Relationships Health & Fitness Ongoing education Personal development Start small by picking just one category and set your goal. And as you can see from the list, it doesn’t necessarily have to center around your business. Now, let’s start off by breaking our goals down into quarters. 1. Identify the big overall goal for the year 2. Then break that goal down into quarters 3. Break the quarters down into a month by month goal 4. Break the month down into a week by week basis 5. And lastly break that we found into a day by day Give yourself some flexibility and check and re-assess your goals on a weekly basis. Spend 20 minutes each on the same day each week to do this – and be consistent with this part! Sometimes you may start thinking that you wanted something but as you were working through it you discover that it’s not necessarily the case which is why it’s so important to reevaluate your goals. It is still fairly early in the month of March so there’s still time to set up the next three quarters of the year so you can achieve ultimate success and happiness. I’d love to hear about your plans so please feel free to share any of the categories and let me be the one to cheer you on. |
