It Was Close, But Jerry Was Able to Escape

I just got off a coaching call with Jerry, one of our newest Probate Growth Accelerator students here at the ProbateFox headquarters.

He said he had an experience last night that helped him realize that he made the right decision diving into the probate niche.

Jerry: “Last night my wife and I went with another couple to an escape room. I’m all about the experience, and this outing did not disappoint.

We were in a room called Scallywags. We had to solve puzzles to get from our pirate ship to the island and then find and open the treasure chest. All within 60 minutes.

I like to think of myself as a puzzle solver. I think it’s one of the reasons I’ve always been attracted to probate. Every family’s situation is a little different and requires a different approach to solve.”

Me: “I’ll have to tell everyone thinking about getting into probate that they need to head on over to the closest escape room. If they can get out, they’re a dead ringer for probate lol.”

Jerry: “Right? I wish I could say that we got out of the escape room without getting clues from our game master. But that was not the case. There were a number of times when we were completely stumped and the only way to move forward was with a little help from our benevolent game host.

But you couldn’t just ask for a clue. All four of us had to swing our arms and in our best pirate voices growl, ‘Argh!’

Probate is a lot like that escape room we played last night. Lots of puzzles and a treasure chest full of gold IF you can figure out how to solve those frustrating probate puzzles.

Thankfully I have you Ernie to give me all the hints I need, whenever I need them. Plus you don’t make me say “Argh!” when I need a hand.”

Me: “That’s funny. I guess I’m your game master.”

Jerry: “And our accountability calls help me find and close the deals way faster than I could have ever done on my own. Sort of like beating the timer in the escape room.”

Thanks Jerry – I’ve never thought of probate quite like that!

To your success,
Ernie “Pirate Booty” Vargas | The Probate Fox
